Dialer comparison

Trellus vs. Hot Prospector: Five-Line Dialing Inside Your CRM or a Three-Line White-Label Call Center for GoHighLevel Agencies

Trellus and Hot Prospector both let reps power dial, and dial several numbers at once, from GoHighLevel (HighLevel) contacts without exporting a CSV. They differ in where the rep dials, how many lines a rep can dial, how each serves an agency with many client accounts and how each charges for calling. This guide compares the documented workflows so an agency or sales team can test the one that fits.

Published by Trellus, which has a commercial interest in this comparison. Hot Prospector's pricing, product, integration, comparison and terms pages were checked October 30, 2026. We did not find a public Hot Prospector help center, so its capabilities below come from its own website and terms; we did not test a Hot Prospector account. Its pages are not fully consistent: the pricing page charges $3 per phone number per month and 2¢ per call minute, while its llms.txt file describes unlimited calling with no per-minute fees; its Orum comparison calls its plans a flat rate "not per user," while the pricing page includes 1, 3 or 5 users and charges $75 for each additional seat; and its comparison pages describe its AI coaching as post-call analysis, while its Why Switch page mentions real-time guidance on every call. We use the pricing page for prices and the comparison pages for coaching. This is a workflow comparison, not a performance benchmark.

The short answer

Hot Prospector is a dialing platform built for GoHighLevel and HubSpot agencies: one multi-tenant dashboard across client sub-accounts, white-label client portals on every plan, and a power dialer with an optional three-line parallel mode, from $137 a month for one user plus $3 per phone number and 2¢ per minute. Trellus is a Chrome extension that power dials, or parallel dials up to five numbers at once, from the GoHighLevel Smart List or other supported CRM view a rep already has open, at $149.99 per seat per month with calling usage included within plan limits, and adds real-time AI coaching on its Business plan. Choose Hot Prospector to run a white-labeled call center for many client accounts from one screen; choose Trellus when reps should dial inside the CRM they already use, need more than three lines or call from platforms beyond GoHighLevel and HubSpot.

If your reps make a small number of researched calls and HighLevel's own calling tools already log outcomes where managers look, you may not need either.

One dashboard for every client, or a dialer inside the HighLevel tab

Hot Prospector is built as a multi-tenant call center. Its GoHighLevel integration page has an admin authorize it from inside GoHighLevel with no API keys; contacts, leads, tags and pipeline stages then sync into Hot Prospector. Its features page says agents see their assigned campaigns across all clients in one interface and dial across clients without switching accounts, while scripts, dispositions, workflows and reporting stay scoped to each client. After a call, its GHL admin page says dispositions write back to the GoHighLevel contact and can move a pipeline stage, apply a DND tag, create a callback task and fire your workflows; Hot Prospector checks for an existing contact by phone, email and contact ID before creating one, and links recordings to the contact. Setup is hands-on: the pricing page describes a white-glove build whose scope and cost are set on the demo call and says most agencies are dialing within two weeks, while its GoHighLevel page says most agencies are live within 15 minutes, or 48 hours with white-glove setup.

Trellus is a Chrome extension each rep installs and signs in to. On GoHighLevel it starts from the active location and the Contacts Smart List on screen, keeps that list's filters and sort order, and uses a valid primary or additional phone number on the contact. It can also start from an Opportunity pipeline or stage view confirmed during setup, and when the fresh-lead option is on, new leads can join an active Smart List call block. After the call it adds a contact note, applies a selected tag when call tagging is enabled and creates a callback task assigned to the rep when their HighLevel identity is available. Each client location is its own setup check, and the Trellus pages we checked do not describe a single dashboard across client locations.

The practical difference: Hot Prospector suits setters who work many clients' leads in one shift from one queue, while Trellus suits reps who stay in one company's CRM and want the call to start and end on the record they already have open.

Three lines or five, and how each mode is chosen

Hot Prospector's power dialer page says its 3-line parallel mode is included on every plan: it dials three numbers at once, connects the rep to the first person who answers and drops the other two. Its features page also lists progressive dialing, which waits for the agent, and manual click-to-dial. Its power vs. parallel guide says the mode is set per campaign, recommends one-at-a-time dialing for warm, high-value or small lists, and notes that parallel dialing leaves missed calls with the contacts who were not connected. New GoHighLevel leads can be queued for immediate callback, and a manager is flagged if a setter misses the configured window.

Trellus Power calls one number at a time. Power + Parallel calls up to five numbers at once and connects the rep with whoever answers. Hot Numbers can order an eligible queue by estimated pickup likelihood. On eligible parallel calls, Trellus waits for the voicemail tone to play a recorded message, and reps can record a separate introduction for phone call screeners. By default Trellus dials between 8 AM and 6 PM in each prospect's local time and holds back Do Not Call numbers; Hot Prospector scrubs lists against federal and state Do Not Call registers and enforces time-zone calling windows.

More lines suit large, prepared lists where most calls go unanswered; a promised callback is usually better made one number at a time. Neither line count guarantees a conversation, so compare connected conversations with the intended person, not dials.

White-label, client separation and reporting

This is where Hot Prospector is built differently. Its GoHighLevel agency page describes a white-label portal on every plan, with your logo, domain and name on the login screen, and the power dialer page adds the login URL and email notifications. Each client sub-account gets its own Twilio number pool, so one client's spam flags do not affect another's, and its agency owners page says a departing client keeps its numbers. Monthly client reports on pickups, appointments, show rates and conversion are generated automatically under your logo, and owners get a live floor board of who is on a call. The plan sets how many client sub-accounts you can connect: 1 on Starter, 3 on Business and unlimited on Agency. Its terms make the agency responsible for its sub-account users' compliance and fees.

Trellus works on standard HighLevel domains and on compatible agency-branded domains once Activate Everywhere site access is enabled and the exact domain is checked. A branded HighLevel domain and a branded dialer are separate setups: for your own dialer name, logo and workspace domain, Trellus scopes a white-label workspace with you, including product features, sign-in, support and billing responsibilities. Trellus MCP access follows the signed-in person's permissions and does not automatically give one client access to another client's calls.

Numbers, messaging and coaching

Phone numbers and spam flags

Hot Prospector charges $3 per number per month. Its local presence matches caller ID to the prospect's area code and rotates numbers automatically. The pricing page lists Telnyx or Twilio as carriers, local or toll-free numbers, caller ID reputation, spam blocking and support for 218 countries, and its setup service includes carrier registration support and Twilio account integration.

Trellus includes 5 additional numbers on Power and 8 on Power + Parallel. You can search by area code, state or city, or bring your own number, and by default Trellus calls from your number closest to the prospect. An admin completes spam remediation, first STIR/SHAKEN business verification and then the Free Caller Registry, and can then register a caller ID name; whether it shows depends on the prospect's carrier. Each number shows Clean, Warning, Flagged or Untested from roughly weekly checks, with its dials and connect rate.

Texting, voicemail and mobile

Hot Prospector covers more channels in one platform. Its pricing page lists two-way texting, team inboxes, inbound campaigns, IVR, ring groups, a booking calendar and a mobile app. Its ringless voicemail page says drops are included with no per-drop fees and require documented consent. Its AI agents page describes AI voice and SMS agents that call, text and hand hot leads to people, and says they are included in "Pro and Enterprise plans," names its pricing page does not use, so confirm availability. Trellus offers voicemail drop and phone-screener introductions but does not list texting; it runs in Chrome on a Mac or Windows computer, and callbacks ring in the Chrome tab running Trellus or at a forwarding number you set.

Coaching during and after calls

Hot Prospector records, transcribes and scores every call with AI, flagging objections and tracking talk ratios and sentiment. Its comparison pages state that it offers post-call analysis, not live real-time guidance during calls. Its pricing page lists call whisper, and its HubSpot page lists whisper coaching and live monitoring.

Trellus's Business plan adds real-time AI coaching: a live transcript and suggested responses while the rep is still on the call, in English, Spanish, French, German or Dutch. Teams can add the virtual Salesfloor, where a manager can listen, request a whisper that only the rep hears, or join. Power + Parallel includes unlimited AI practice calls in 17 languages and variants, graded after each session.

Where each fits

Choose Trellus when

  • Reps should dial from the HighLevel Smart List or Opportunity view they already have open, or from platforms Trellus documents beyond GoHighLevel and HubSpot, such as Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Close, Attio or Google Sheets.
  • Your lists are large enough that up to five lines per rep matters.
  • You want live AI suggestions during calls (Business), AI practice with parallel dialing, or calling usage included within plan limits rather than billed per minute.
  • You want to buy one seat online and start calling without a setup project.

Choose Hot Prospector when

  • Your agency runs outbound or appointment setting for many GoHighLevel or HubSpot clients and wants setters to work all of them from one dashboard, with separate scripts, dispositions, number pools and reports per client.
  • You resell calling under your own brand and want white-label client portals included on every plan.
  • You want texting, ringless voicemail, AI SMS agents and a mobile app from the same vendor as the dialer, plus a white-glove build.
  • Three lines are enough and you have five or more setters, where Hot Prospector's published plans cost less per seat before usage.

Keep what you have when

Your current calling already reaches people and logs outcomes where managers look. Hot Prospector's Why Switch page says it is not built for inbound-only call centers or teams dialing fewer than 50 contacts a day, and HighLevel's own Manual Actions queue may be enough for light calling. A new dialer will not fix a weak list, an unclear disposition set or an unowned callback process.

Compare the cost of the same scope

Both vendors publish prices, but they charge differently: Trellus by seat, with calling included within plan limits, and Hot Prospector by plan with included users, plus seats, phone numbers and minutes. The figures below use only published prices; taxes, setup services and Hot Prospector usage are excluded unless stated.

Published prices, checked October 30, 2026
ScopeTrellusHot Prospector
1 rep, multi-line, monthly$149.99 (Power + Parallel, up to five lines, 8 additional numbers included)$137 (Starter, up to three lines, 1 client sub-account, 2,500 leads), plus $3 per number and 2¢ per minute
5 reps, multi-line, monthly$749.95$497 (Agency, unlimited sub-accounts), or $447 (Business with 3 sub-accounts plus 2 seats at $75), plus usage
10 reps, multi-line, monthly$1,499.90$747 (Agency plus a 5-seat pack at $250), or $872 with five $75 seats as in its FAQ example, plus usage
5 reps, multi-line, annual$8,999.40 a year (no published annual discount)$4,997 a year (Agency; the annual card lists 6 users), plus usage

On published list prices, Hot Prospector costs less from five seats up, and slightly less for one seat before usage. Its usage then adds to that: at 2¢ a minute, every 10,000 billed minutes adds $200, and eight numbers, the count Trellus Power + Parallel includes, would cost $24 a month at $3 each. Hot Prospector does not say whether ringing time on the extra parallel lines is billed, so ask. Trellus plans include calling usage, with standard (Power) or high (Power + Parallel) dialing limits described in its Terms, and its pages do not publish a price for numbers beyond those included. Hot Prospector's plans also list lead allowances of 2,500, 10,000 or 30,000, and its annual cards list different user and lead counts from its monthly cards, so confirm what applies. Its pricing page says white-glove setup scope and cost are discussed on the demo call, while its comparison hub lists $0 setup fees. Live AI coaching and team analytics are on Trellus Business, which is custom-priced; see Trellus pricing.

Check the terms as well. Hot Prospector offers month-to-month billing; its terms ask for cancellation at least 10 days before the next billing date, make subscription, setup and usage fees non-refundable and unprorated, and may delete data 90 days after cancellation. Trellus single-seat plans can pause or cancel in Billing, larger plans email billing, and when a plan is cancelled calling stops right away and numbers may be released.

Test before you commit

  1. Use one real client location. Connect one HighLevel sub-account, including your agency-branded domain if you have one, and sign in as a setter rather than the admin.
  2. Dial the same list. Run three lines in Hot Prospector and up to five in Trellus. Note the delay after a prospect answers, voicemail handling, and what happens when two people answer at once.
  3. Reopen the contact. Confirm the outcome, notes, tags, pipeline stage, recording or transcript link and callback task landed where managers report from, with the right owner, and that each workflow fired once.
  4. Check client separation. Sign in as a client user and confirm they see only their own calls, numbers, reports and branding.
  5. Price the full scope. Include seats, client sub-accounts, lead limits, phone numbers, minutes, texting, setup services, coaching and the cancellation and refund terms.
