Dialer comparison

Trellus vs. Koncert: Dial Inside Your CRM or Use a Dedicated Dialing Platform

Trellus and Koncert both power dial, parallel dial and manage local caller IDs. They differ in where the rep works during a call, which dialing styles you can buy and how pricing is presented. This guide compares the documented workflows so you can test the one that matches your team.

Published by Trellus, which has a commercial interest in this comparison. Koncert product, FAQ, policy and pricing pages were checked October 30, 2026. Koncert capabilities below come from its own website; we did not test a Koncert account. Koncert's pages are not always consistent (for example, some describe four dialers and others five), so confirm your package in a demo. This is a workflow comparison, not a performance benchmark.

The short answer

Trellus is a Chrome extension that adds power dialing, and parallel dialing of up to five numbers at once, inside the CRM, sales engagement platform or Google Sheet a team already uses, with published per-seat prices and no seat minimum. Koncert is a dedicated dialing platform with four dialers, including an AI Parallel Dialer and an Agent-Assisted Dialer staffed by human dialing agents, plus vendor-managed caller ID health, and its pricing is quote-based. Choose by where reps should work, whether you want human dialing agents or live AI prompts during calls, and what must be written back to your CRM.

If reps make a small number of researched calls and already log outcomes reliably, the dialer built into your current CRM may be enough.

Where the rep works during a call

Trellus opens beside the list, task or record in a supported platform, and reps call from that list. After a call, AI fills in the result and a summary, the rep can add notes, schedule a follow-up, complete the call task and attach the recording link; the exact fields depend on the platform. By default Trellus calls between 8 AM and 6 PM in each prospect's local time and holds back numbers marked Do Not Call or contacts marked Do Not Contact. See the Trellus dialer and the integration page for your platform, such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

Koncert describes list-based calling sessions in its own platform. Its dialers page says CRM data on the prospect appears as soon as a live person answers, and its AI dialer pages describe bi-directional sync with Salesforce and other CRMs. A December 2023 product update describes reps joining the session's audio through their computer, a "Call Me" callback or a dial-in number. For Salesforce users, the Click Dialer works as a native Salesforce app, and Remote Coach recordings can be played from Salesforce. Koncert's HubSpot page offers one-way or two-way sync with configurable field mapping.

The practical question is which screen the rep keeps open, and which record, task and fields hold the outcome after a call. Test it on your own platform rather than relying on either vendor's description.

Four Koncert dialers versus two Trellus modes

Koncert's Agent-Assisted Dialer is its most distinctive option: trained human dialing agents work through phone trees, gatekeepers and voicemail, and the rep comes on the line when a live person answers. Koncert says dialing pauses while the rep talks and that reps can deselect or reschedule upcoming prospects during a session. Trellus does not list a human dialing-agent service.

For AI parallel dialing, Koncert's AI Parallel Dialer page says four lines is the recommended default and can be lowered to two or three; its pricing page lists 1 to 4 lines on Symphony and 1 to 5 on Symphony+. Koncert says the AI Parallel Dialer does not ring several numbers for one prospect at once, and that the Flow Dialer can work through up to five phone columns per prospect. It credits its Quick Connect technology, which it says combines its own telephony with providers such as Twilio and Vonage, for connecting answered calls quickly.

Trellus has two modes. Power dials one contact at a time. Power + Parallel calls up to five numbers at once and connects the rep with whoever answers. The dialer includes Hot Numbers pickup ordering, and on eligible parallel calls Trellus waits for the voicemail tone to play a recorded message. Reps can also record a separate introduction for phone call screeners.

Caller ID management and coaching

Phone numbers and spam flags

Koncert positions caller ID health as a managed service. Its caller ID page says area-code-matched numbers are chosen automatically in every dialer, the Heat Map notifies managers about usage, and teams can buy numbers without leaving Koncert, shuffle a set of numbers randomly or add reps' own numbers as custom caller IDs. Its homepage says Koncert scans how caller IDs appear on real mobile phones, and its AI Parallel Dialer page says flagged numbers are automatically quarantined and clean numbers rotated back into the pool.

In Trellus, an admin completes spam remediation, first STIR/SHAKEN business verification and then the Free Caller Registry. Each number shows Clean, Warning, Flagged or Untested from roughly weekly checks, alongside its dials and connect rate. Trellus calls from your geographically closest number by default, or can rotate numbers or always use one.

Coaching during and after calls

Koncert's live coaching is manager-led. Remote Coach lets managers listen to live calls and whisper to the rep without the prospect hearing, and the Remote Salesfloor adds audio, video and content collaboration for call blitzes. Its Melody+ and Symphony+ plans add AI objection detection and AI summary notes and transcriptions. Koncert's FAQ mentions call scripts and battle cards, and says real-time AI objection-handling scripts and AI-driven responses during live calls are expected in the near future.

Trellus's Business plan includes real-time AI coaching: a live transcript and suggested responses while the rep is still on the call, in English, Spanish, French, German or Dutch. On the Salesfloor, a manager can request a whisper that only the rep hears once accepted. Power + Parallel includes unlimited AI practice calls in 17 languages and variants, graded after each session.

Where each fits

Choose Trellus when

  • Reps should dial from the CRM, sales engagement platform or Google Sheet they already use, including platforms such as Close, GoHighLevel, Attio, Pipedrive or Google Sheets.
  • You want published per-seat pricing, online purchase and the option to start with one seat.
  • You want live AI suggestions during calls (Business plan) or AI practice included with parallel dialing.

Choose Koncert when

  • You want human dialing agents to work through gatekeepers, phone trees and voicemail before the rep joins.
  • Your team is Salesforce-centric and prefers a native AppExchange app, or you want Koncert's standalone option.
  • You want caller ID health managed by the vendor, or add-ons from one supplier: the Koncert Cadence sequencer, Koncert Phone, an AI Voice Agent that answers callbacks and books meetings, Data Researcher phone-propensity scoring or Waterfall Data Enrichment.

Keep what you have when

Your current dialer already connects reps quickly, keeps numbers healthy and logs outcomes where managers look for them. A new dialer will not fix an unclear disposition list or an unowned callback process.

Compare the cost of the same scope

Trellus pricing is published per seat per month: Power is $99.99 with 5 additional numbers and standard dialing limits, Power + Parallel is $149.99 with 8 additional numbers and high dialing limits, and Business is custom. There is no seat minimum, Power and Power + Parallel are bought online, and there is no free plan or free trial. Teams that call together can ask about adding the virtual Salesfloor in a demo.

Koncert does not publish prices; it is quote-based. Its pricing page names four plans (Melody, Symphony, Melody+ and Symphony+) with "Get Pricing" on each, and lists Koncert Phone, AI Voice Agent, Data Researcher, AI PitchLab, Koncert Cadence and Waterfall Data Enrichment as add-ons. The visible pricing page does not state seat minimums or contract terms. Koncert's AI dialer page offers a limited-time free trial for qualified sales teams.

Price the same scope from both: the number of calling seats, line count, any agent-assisted dialing, phone numbers, coaching, international calling and contract term. A headline seat price alone does not establish the lower total cost.

Test before you commit

  1. Start from your real list. Use one prepared list and one due callback in your own CRM. Confirm which records and phone fields enter the queue and which screen the rep keeps open.
  2. Make live and missed calls. Try single-line and parallel modes. Note the delay after a prospect answers, voicemail and phone-tree handling, and what is saved for no answer, voicemail and busy.
  3. Check the record afterward. Reopen the contact and task. Confirm the disposition, notes, recording link and follow-up landed where managers report from.
  4. Check numbers and callbacks. Ask who remediates a flagged number and how fast. Call back a number you dialed from and see where it rings.
  5. Read the usage terms. Compare Trellus's dialing limits in its Terms with Koncert's Fair and Reasonable Use Policy, which requires written pre-approval for appointment-setting, lead-generation, telemarketing, call-center and B2C calling firms.
