Dialer comparison

Trellus vs. JustCall: Up to Five Lines Inside Your CRM or a Cloud Phone System With a Ten-Line Sales Dialer

Trellus and JustCall both power dial, both dial several numbers at once, and both log calls to the CRM. They are different purchases. JustCall is a cloud phone system for sales and support teams, with business numbers, inbound routing, texting, AI tools and a separate Sales Dialer that works through campaigns loaded from a CRM, a CSV file or its API. Trellus adds power and parallel dialing, and live AI coaching, to the CRM, sales engagement platform or spreadsheet a team already works in. This guide compares the documented workflows so a team can test the one that fits.

Published by Trellus, which has a commercial interest in this comparison. JustCall's pricing page, product pages, integration pages and help center were checked November 2, 2026. JustCall capabilities below come from JustCall's own website and help center; we did not test a JustCall account. JustCall publishes prices for its Team, Pro and Pro Plus plans; Business and SalesPro, the plan that includes its dynamic dialer and its predictive dialer of up to 10 lines, are quote-based. JustCall's pricing page also announces Black Friday pricing from November 10, 2026; the prices here are the list prices shown on November 2. Where JustCall's pages differ, we use the pricing page and note the difference. This is a workflow comparison, not a performance benchmark.

The short answer

JustCall is a cloud phone system: its plans start at $29 per user per month billed annually ($39 monthly) with a two-license minimum and include calling, texting, IVR and CRM integrations; its one-line power dialer starts on Pro ($49 billed annually, $69 monthly), and its dynamic dialer and predictive, or parallel, dialer of up to 10 lines per agent are on SalesPro, which is quote-based, with a 14-day free trial. Trellus is a Chrome extension that power dials, or parallel dials up to five numbers at once, from the list a rep already has open in a supported CRM, sales engagement platform or Google Sheet, for a published $99.99 or $149.99 per seat per month with no seat minimum, and real-time AI coaching on its Business plan. Choose JustCall when you want one system for numbers, inbound routing, texting and campaigns shared by several agents; choose Trellus when reps should dial from the views they already work in at a published per-seat price.

Both also offer AI voice agents that answer and place calls. If your reps make a small number of researched calls and your CRM's own calling already logs outcomes where managers look, you may not need either.

Where the list lives: your CRM view or a Sales Dialer campaign

JustCall's outbound dialers live in its Sales Dialer, which its Sales Dialer 101 guide says is best managed in the web portal, with iOS and Android apps for calling and campaign management on the go. Each dialer runs as a campaign: you pick the mode, map contact fields, choose the number to dial from and assign the agents. Contacts get in by CSV upload, a connected CRM list or the API. JustCall's help center documents campaign sources such as HubSpot lists and sequence call steps, Salesforce list views and Salesforce Campaigns, open call tasks from Outreach sequence steps and Salesloft cadence steps, and Apollo sequence call steps, as well as Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and HighLevel. Contacts who reach a sequence or cadence step later come in when someone chooses Re-sync contacts. In Salesforce, the JustCall Chrome extension adds an Add to Sales Dialer button to list views, and only the contacts and phone numbers loaded on screen are sent. JustCall's plans guide says adding contacts after a campaign's first upload depends on plan: not on Team or Pro, only to predictive campaigns on Pro Plus, and to any campaign on SalesPro. While a call is live, the Sales Dialer shows the mapped contact fields, with a Contact Badge that opens the record in the CRM.

Outside the Sales Dialer, the JustCall Chrome extension adds click-to-call and click-to-text icons next to phone numbers in supported CRMs and websites. It places calls and sends texts but does not receive calls; the web dialer, desktop app or mobile app do that. In Salesforce, JustCall embeds as an Open CTI softphone, and in HubSpot reps can call any contact in a click. JustCall's Salesforce page says every plan includes the Salesforce integration, while its pricing page lists it from Pro up; confirm which applies to your plan. JustCall's Attio guide notes that its click-to-call icons are not supported inside Attio.

Trellus is a Chrome extension each rep installs. It opens beside the contact list or calling view your integration supports, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo or Google Sheets, so reps call from the lists they already keep and there is no separate campaign to build or re-sync. AI fills in the call result and a summary; reps can add notes, schedule a follow-up, complete the call task and attach the recording link, with the transcript as an option. By default, no-answers, voicemails and wrong numbers are logged automatically. Every plan includes power dialing on all supported platforms, and admins can set and lock team defaults for each platform. See the Trellus dialer for the calling flow.

What lands in the CRM depends on the platform for both. From an Outreach campaign, JustCall logs the outcome, purpose, notes and recording and marks the call task complete. From Salesloft, it logs the call, closes the open task and moves the contact to the next cadence step. From Apollo, it logs against the open task, completes it and advances the contact; only calls to contacts imported from Apollo sequences are logged in Apollo. For campaigns built from HubSpot sequences, you set conditions, such as call status, disposition or HubSpot outcome, that close the HubSpot calling task. JustCall's HubSpot page lists two-way custom field sync and AI summaries in the activity feed. AI summaries and the logging of AI insights to the CRM are included on Pro Plus and above, or come with the AI Review Assist add-on on Team and Pro.

Ten lines shared by a team or five lines for one rep

JustCall's Sales Dialer has three campaign types. A power dialer campaign dials one number at a time and belongs to one agent. A dynamic campaign also dials one number at a time per agent, but several agents can share it, contacts can be added or removed while it runs, and it never ends, so it cannot be re-run. A predictive campaign dials several numbers per agent, set from 1 to 10 under Maximum Calls per Agent, and can also be shared across agents. Power campaigns are on Pro and up; the Sales Dialer FAQs say dynamic and predictive campaigns are unlimited only on SalesPro, and lower plans can create up to three of each as a trial. JustCall's parallel dialer page describes the 10-line mode: up to ten numbers ring, the first person who picks up goes to the agent, and the other ringing lines drop.

In a predictive campaign, if a contact answers and no agent is free, the call is marked Abandoned and the contact hears a message you choose before the call ends. Optional answering machine screening takes about 4 to 5 seconds to decide and is accurate 75% of the time or more, JustCall says; you can favor speed, balance or accuracy, and Drop Voicemail After Beep leaves a recorded message when a machine is detected. The screening, and Auto-Classify Pickups, which labels each call a human or machine pickup after it ends, are free on SalesPro and $0.009 per connected call on other plans. On a power campaign, the agent hears the greeting and drops a voicemail with one click (power dialer page). Calling hours are set by country, or by state in the US, Canada and Australia, as one account-wide setting that admins manage.

Trellus Power calls one number at a time. Power + Parallel calls up to five numbers at once and connects the rep with whoever answers. The dialer includes Hot Numbers pickup ordering. On eligible parallel calls, Trellus waits for the voicemail tone to play a recorded message, and reps can record a separate introduction for phone call screeners. By default Trellus dials between 8 AM and 6 PM in each prospect's local time and holds back numbers marked Do Not Call, or contacts marked Do Not Contact in the CRM, and teams can keep their own Do Not Call list. Where JustCall's dynamic and predictive campaigns are built for several agents working one shared list, Trellus dials from the list each rep has open in the CRM.

More lines suit large, prepared lists where most calls go unanswered; a promised callback usually goes better one number at a time. JustCall's own parallel dialer page says parallel dialing is a poor fit for short lists of named enterprise accounts and for markets that rarely answer unknown numbers. Neither line count guarantees a conversation, so compare connected conversations with the intended person, not dials.

A phone system or a dialing layer: numbers, inbound, texting and AI

Phone numbers and spam flags

Each JustCall account includes two complimentary numbers, one for JustCall and one for the Sales Dialer, whatever the team size, as long as each costs $6 a month or less; further numbers are billed at their monthly cost (pricing guide). The two systems keep separate numbers: a JustCall number can be moved into the Sales Dialer only through support, the move is one-way, and the number loses texting. JustCall's power dialer page also describes follow-up texts sent from the number a campaign dials from, so ask JustCall how texting works with your campaign numbers. The Sales Dialer can pick a different number from your pool for each call, and Local Presence chooses one that matches the area code in the US and Canada, or the country elsewhere. Local Number Bundles of 50, 100 or 200 numbers cost $150, $250 or $450 a month on SalesPro and $225, $360 or $650 on Pro, Pro Plus and Business, and each number can be replaced once a month free. Number Health marks each Sales Dialer number Healthy, Learning, At Risk or Mitigating Risk from its average daily dials. The pricing page lists spam remediation (US only) and caller ID settings on every plan, and local numbers in 70+ countries.

Trellus includes 5 additional numbers on Power and 8 on Power + Parallel. You can search by area code, state or city, or bring your own number, which counts toward the plan's limit. By default Trellus calls from your geographically closest number, or it can rotate through your numbers or always use one. An admin completes spam remediation, first STIR/SHAKEN business verification and then the Free Caller Registry, and can then register a caller ID name; whether it shows depends on the prospect's carrier. Each number shows Clean, Warning, Flagged or Untested from roughly weekly checks, with its dials and connect rate for the last 14 days. Trellus calls the countries your account is set up for, with caller IDs from a specific country.

Inbound calls, texting and devices

This is where JustCall does more. Its pricing page lists, on every plan, unlimited inbound minutes under its fair usage policy, call queues, voicemail, toll-free numbers, SIP desk phones, mobile and desktop apps and a WhatsApp inbox; IVR is single-level on Team and multi-level from Pro, which also adds queue callbacks and intelligent routing. Texting includes 500 SMS segments per license on Team, 1,000 on Pro and Pro Plus and unlimited on Business in the US and Canada region, with bulk SMS campaigns from Pro, and texting US numbers requires 10DLC registration. Reps can use the web dialer, the Mac and Windows desktop app, or the iOS and Android apps. Callbacks to Sales Dialer numbers can be forwarded to another number or answered by an AI Voice Agent, and Allow Incoming Calls While Busy lets agents running a campaign take inbound calls while they are between calls. JustCall's pricing guide lists Sales Dialer inbound calls among the calls not covered by the included bundle.

Trellus is built around calling from the CRM rather than as a full phone system. Callbacks ring in the Chrome tab that holds the Trellus line, with the contact's details and recent call history, or at a forwarding number you set, and missed calls from the last 7 days stay in a list. With routing turned on, depending on plan, each number can ring a team or subteam, one rep or an outside number, with an optional greeting. Trellus plans do not list texting, IVR menus, call queues or a mobile app; it runs in Chrome on a Mac or Windows computer. Teams that keep another phone system for inbound can use Trellus AI coaching on platforms such as RingCentral, Dialpad, Aircall and Five9.

Coaching during and after calls

JustCall managers on Pro and above can listen, whisper or barge into a live call; only one person can monitor a call at a time. JustCall is folding its Sales Dialer Salesfloor into a single Live Monitoring dashboard. On Pro Plus, Business and SalesPro, the pricing page lists real-time agent assist, AI-powered script compliance, live call transcription, AI-powered objection handling, AI call scoring and coaching comments. JustCall's agent assist page describes two modules: Script Compliance, which marks off checklist items as the rep covers them, and Real-Time Assist, which shows the most relevant answer from your FAQ library when a customer asks a question. Team and Pro accounts can add AI Review Assist for $9 per user per month for call summaries, pre-defined AI scorecards and CRM logging of AI insights; like other add-ons, it is charged for every license on the account.

Trellus's Business plan adds real-time AI coaching: a live transcript and suggested responses while the rep is still on the call, in English, Spanish, French, German or Dutch, with custom suggestions and objection handlers. On the Salesfloor, which teams can add by asking in a demo, a manager can listen, request a whisper that only the rep hears once accepted, or join the call with a dialing seat. Power + Parallel includes unlimited AI practice calls in 17 languages and variants, graded after each session. Team analytics and conversation intelligence are on Business.

AI voice agents

JustCall's AI Voice Agent is an add-on on every plan that answers inbound calls and can place outbound calls, in 14 languages. You can create as many agents as you like and test them with 100 free minutes shared across them; beyond your included minutes, calls cost $0.99 a minute from your JustCall credits, and JustCall quotes plan pricing through its sales team. Its parallel dialer page lists $99 a month for 100 minutes and $249 a month for 300 minutes, and its pricing page cites volume discounts down to $0.15 a minute. Outbound calls must be switched on by JustCall, and the API asks you to confirm prior consent for each call. Calls must land on a JustCall number, so the agent needs a JustCall subscription.

Trellus voice agents answer inbound calls and place outbound calls. Each agent follows your script step by step: it says what you write, collects the caller's details and transfers the call to a phone number or another agent. Callers can reach an agent on a phone number or through a voice widget on your website, and outbound agents handle voicemail and call screeners before the live greeting. Agents speak English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch, plus mixed English and Spanish, with voices from Cartesia or ElevenLabs. After each call, Trellus pulls the fields you define and sends them by webhook, SFTP, SMS or Slack; transcripts are saved, and recording follows your team's policy. Agents can run in Trellus call center campaigns within hours set by each contact's local time, and turning on AI calling requires acknowledging opt-in consent rules. Voice agents are set up with the Trellus team, and the Trellus pricing page does not list a price for them.

Where each fits

Choose Trellus when

  • Reps work in a sales engagement platform, CRM or sheet such as Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, Close, Attio or Google Sheets, and you want them to dial the view they already have open instead of building and re-syncing a campaign.
  • You are buying for one rep or a few: Trellus sells one seat online with no minimum, while every JustCall plan requires at least two licenses.
  • You want up to five lines on a published plan, bought online one seat at a time.
  • You already have a phone system for inbound calls and texting, and want dialing and coaching added rather than the phone system replaced.
  • You want AI practice calls alongside parallel dialing, or live AI suggestions during calls on Business.

Choose JustCall when

  • You want one vendor for business numbers, inbound IVR and queues, texting, WhatsApp and outbound dialing, with desktop and mobile apps.
  • Several agents work one shared list, or you want more than five lines per agent, up to 10 on SalesPro, with answering machine screening and automatic voicemail drop.
  • You want real-time agent assist on a plan with a published price, Pro Plus at $89 per user billed annually, rather than a custom plan.
  • You want to build and adjust AI voice agents in the same account as your phone system and pay by the minute.
  • You need local numbers across many countries (JustCall lists 70+) and included calling for the US and Canada, Australia, the UK or Europe, or you want to try the full product free for 14 days first.

Keep what you have when

Your current calling already reaches people and logs outcomes where managers look. A new dialer will not fix a weak list, an unclear disposition set or an unowned callback process.

JustCall's published plans make a one-line power dialer easy to price, but its dynamic and multi-line dialers need a SalesPro quote. A JustCall help article also describes SalesPro Lite, a SalesPro variant at $79 per user a month billed annually or $99 monthly, with a 3,000-minute calling allowance per user, introduced for customers moving from older dialer plans; ask whether it is offered to you. A JustCall plan can replace a separate phone system, texting tool and inbound routing if you consolidate, while Trellus sits beside the CRM or sales engagement platform you already pay for, so price the whole stack on both sides: seats, line tier, numbers, minutes, texting and 10DLC registration, add-ons and contract term. JustCall's pricing guide says included minutes cover calls within the region you choose (US and Canada, Australia, the UK or Europe) under its fair usage policy, while international calls, inbound toll-free calls, forwarded calls and Sales Dialer inbound calls draw on prepaid credits; annual billing saves up to 29%. Trellus plans include standard (Power) or high (Power + Parallel) dialing limits described in its Terms. See Trellus pricing.

Check the terms as well. JustCall's refund policy covers only duplicate payments and charges made by mistake after cancellation. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, annual plans are charged up front, and numbers are released when the account closes unless you port them out first; an account can instead be paused, which cuts billing by 70%. Trellus single-seat plans can pause or cancel in Billing, larger plans request changes through the Support Center, and when a plan is cancelled calling stops right away and numbers may be released.

Test before you commit

  1. Start where reps work. Use one rep and one real list. In JustCall, build the Sales Dialer campaign from your CRM list, sequence step or spreadsheet and note how new contacts get in; in Trellus, start from the CRM or sales engagement view itself. JustCall's trial caps calling at 50 outbound minutes and 7 minutes a call, with three campaigns of each type and no contacts added later, so ask for a longer pilot if you need a full list test.
  2. Dial the same list. Run JustCall's predictive campaign at several lines per agent, with answering machine screening on and off, and Trellus at up to five lines. Note the pause after a prospect says hello, voicemail handling and what the second person hears when two people pick up.
  3. Reopen the record. Confirm the outcome, notes, recording or transcript link, completed task and next sequence step landed on the right contact, with the right owner.
  4. Test the rest of the phone job. Call back a number you dialed from and see where it rings, send a follow-up text if you need texting and check which number it comes from, and confirm which agent assist features your plan includes.
  5. Price the full scope. Get JustCall's quote in writing with the plan, license count, line count, number bundles, add-ons, voice agent minutes and billing term, and compare it with Trellus's published plan plus whatever phone and texting tools you would keep.

Frequently asked questions

How many lines can JustCall and Trellus dial at once?

JustCall's predictive, or parallel, dialer dials 1 to 10 numbers per agent on SalesPro, and its power and dynamic dialers dial one number at a time per agent. Trellus Power calls one number at a time, and Power + Parallel calls up to five numbers at once.

How much does JustCall cost?

JustCall publishes Team at $29, Pro at $49 and Pro Plus at $89 per user per month billed annually, or $39, $69 and $109 billed monthly, with a minimum of two licenses on every plan. Business and SalesPro, which includes the dynamic and up-to-10-line predictive dialers, are quote-based, and there is a 14-day free trial. Trellus publishes Power at $99.99 and Power + Parallel at $149.99 per seat per month, with no seat minimum.

Does JustCall dial inside my CRM like Trellus?

For single calls, yes: JustCall's Chrome extension adds click-to-call to supported CRMs, and it embeds as a softphone in Salesforce. Its power, dynamic and predictive dialers run as Sales Dialer campaigns, filled from a CRM list or sequence step, a CSV file or the API, with results logged back to the CRM. Trellus power and parallel dials from the list or calling view open in a supported CRM, sales engagement platform or Google Sheet.

Do JustCall and Trellus offer AI voice agents?

Both do. JustCall's AI Voice Agent add-on answers inbound calls and can place outbound calls in 14 languages, with 100 free test minutes and $0.99 a minute beyond included minutes. Trellus voice agents answer inbound calls and place outbound calls, follow your script step by step, collect the caller's details and transfer the call; they are set up with the Trellus team.

Do both coach reps during calls?

Both let a manager listen and whisper on a live call: JustCall from Pro, Trellus on its Salesfloor. Both also offer in-call AI help: JustCall's real-time agent assist shows script checkpoints and FAQ answers on Pro Plus, Business and SalesPro, and Trellus Business shows a live transcript and suggested responses.
