Trellus for Zoho CRM

Call the Zoho CRM list without handing it off

Turn a supported Zoho CRM Task list or module list into a Trellus power or parallel call block, while keeping the record, module, phone-field label, and selected number attached.

Current browser support is limited to Zoho CRM and CRM Plus on .zoho.com and .zoho.eu. Trellus does not currently create a Zoho callback Task.

Where Trellus works in Zoho CRM

Starts in: Tasks or supported module lists
Queue: the current Task or module view
Phone choice: the current module's phone fields

The walkthrough shows the Trellus entry point on demonstrated Zoho Leads and Tasks surfaces. Use your own synthetic records to verify region, modules, fields, permissions, and the visible post-call result.

Where it works

The Zoho CRM surfaces Trellus uses

“Zoho integration” is too broad. These are the in-platform starting points covered by the current Trellus workflow.

Zoho Tasks

Start from a supported call Task list and keep the real Task, assigned record, phone choice, and task identity with the call.

Standard module lists

Work supported list views for Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Deals, Vendors, and Products when the current view and permissions resolve.

Resolvable custom-module lists

Trellus can use custom modules whose name and phone fields are available, but the team must test the exact module and layout it calls.

Selected record workflows

Use supported one-off Lead, Contact, Account, Deal, or custom-record context while keeping the owner of the selected phone number clear.

Regional boundary
The supported browser hosts are .zoho.com and .zoho.eu. Zoho accounts on India, Australia, or other data-center domains need explicit product support before rollout.
Rep workflow

From CRM view to completed call

01

Open the worklist

Start from the exact Zoho Task list, module list, or record your rep intends to call.

02

Review the phone fields

Keep standard and custom labels—Mobile, Phone, Office, or Direct line—next to the value so the rep knows which number was selected.

03

Choose power or parallel

Use one-at-a-time power dialing or an eligible Trellus parallel session while the module and record remain attached.

04

Select the Zoho result

Choose the supported Call Purpose and Call Result, then review the duration, number, note context, and related record.

05

Inspect the final state

Confirm the Calls record, related Note, and source Task separately. One successful piece does not prove all three finished.

Choose the right calling layer

Zoho already has a power dialer

Zoho Voice offers its own Power Dialer and Zoho CRM connection. Trellus fits a different buyer: a team that wants to keep a supported Zoho CRM list or Task surface while using Trellus power or parallel calling and coaching.

Choose Zoho Voice when

  • You want a Zoho-owned phone and campaign stack
  • Your workflow is managed through Zoho Voice or a contact-center operation
  • Native Zoho administration is the deciding requirement

Consider Trellus when

  • Your reps already organize the call block in a supported Zoho CRM view
  • You need the Trellus power or eligible parallel workflow around that list
  • You value Trellus coaching while keeping the CRM record attached
Phone ownership

The selected number may belong to a different record

A Deal can expose its own phone fields and phones from a related Contact or Account. Trellus keeps the field label and record owner attached so the final call does not get simplified into “everything logs to the Deal.”

Example
Anika opens “US trial requests — no meeting.” Her org has Phone, Mobile, and a custom Direct line field. Trellus shows each label, keeps the selected Lead with the number, and returns the supported result to Zoho after the call.
DNC boundary
Phone-field discovery is not consent enforcement. The current reviewed workflow does not promise a Zoho DNC-field mapping; consent, calling hours, recording, and jurisdiction rules remain separate controls.
What returns

A Call, a Note, and a Task are separate results

The page should show what a rep will see—not hide everything behind the word “sync.”

Call direction and subject
Start time and duration
Call Purpose
Call Result
Dialed number
Supported related record
Summary or transcript context
Source Task completion
Partial results are possible
A Calls record can save even when its optional Note does not. A custom-module Call can also save without the custom-record link if Zoho rejects that relationship. The rollout must make those states visible.
FAQ

Zoho CRM and Trellus

Where does Trellus work in Zoho CRM?

Trellus works on supported Tasks, standard or resolvable custom module lists, and selected record contexts on .zoho.com and .zoho.eu. The exact view, module, fields, and permissions should be tested in the team's org.

Does Zoho CRM have its own power dialer?

Yes. Zoho Voice offers a Power Dialer and a Zoho CRM connection. Trellus is an alternative for teams that want its power or parallel calling and coaching around supported Zoho CRM worklists.

Can Trellus parallel dial Zoho CRM?

Eligible Trellus teams can use parallel calling on supported Zoho surfaces. Available lines depend on the Trellus plan and calling setup.

Which Zoho modules does Trellus support?

The reviewed workflow includes Tasks and lists for Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Deals, Vendors, Products, and resolvable custom modules. Behavior varies because phones and final relationships can belong to different records.

What does Trellus write to Zoho CRM?

Trellus can create a supported Zoho Calls record with purpose, result, duration, number, description, and relationship context. A related Note and source Task completion are separate steps and should be checked individually.

Can Trellus create a Zoho callback Task?

No. The current Trellus workflow can complete a resolved source Task, but it does not create a new Zoho callback or follow-up Task.

Does Trellus support Zoho CRM in India or Australia?

Not with the current browser host coverage. The supported domains are .zoho.com and .zoho.eu; other Zoho data-center domains require explicit support before they belong in a rollout.

Test the Zoho org—not a generic demo
