A parallel dialer calls several numbers at the same time and connects you to the person who answers. Trellus adds it to your CRM or sales engagement platform through a Chrome extension, so reps keep calling from the lists and queues they already work.
Call up to five lines at once on eligible plans. When someone picks up, you are connected and the other active lines stop. On eligible calls, Trellus plays your saved voicemail after the tone, and no-answers, voicemails and wrong numbers are logged automatically by default.
A parallel dialer is outbound calling software that places several calls for one rep at roughly the same time, then connects the rep to a live answer. It can reduce time spent waiting through rings and voicemail, but more attempts alone do not establish more meetings.
When you have a well-maintained list, a repeatable opening, defined post-call steps and enough unanswered attempts that waiting is a real part of the rep’s day. For a small, researched list, a power dialer may be the better choice.
Open your list. Start from a list, task queue, sequence step or report in your CRM or sales engagement platform.
Set your lines. Pick parallel dialing and the number of lines your plan allows, up to five on eligible plans.
Put likely pickups first. Hot Numbers (beta) can order eligible contacts by estimated pickup likelihood, and smart caller ID picks your best available number.
Skip the dead ends. On eligible parallel calls, Trellus plays your saved voicemail after the tone and your saved introduction to phone screeners.
Take the answer. When someone picks up, you are connected and the other active lines stop.
Log it and move on. AI fills in the result and a summary for you to review. No-answers, voicemails and wrong numbers are logged automatically by default.
Parallel dialer vs. power dialer vs. predictive dialer.
Parallel dialing suits prepared outbound lists. Power dialing suits contacts that need a closer look before the call. Predictive dialing is built for high-volume contact centers, and Trellus does not offer it.

“Trellus has allowed us to hit some crazy numbers using a lightweight tech stack. We switched to using Trellus numbers as well and our pick rates doubled overnight!”
It calls several numbers at the same time for one rep, then connects the rep to a person who answers. You speak with whoever picks up instead of waiting for each number to finish ringing before trying the next.

Which CRMs work with the Trellus parallel dialer?
Trellus works with HubSpot, Google Sheets, Outreach, Apollo, Salesloft, Gong Engage, Salesforce, Close, Attio and GoHighLevel, plus 18 more platforms. Calling modes vary, so check your platform in the integration directory.
What is the difference between a parallel dialer and a power dialer?
A power dialer calls one number at a time, so the rep can review each contact first. A parallel dialer calls several numbers at once and connects the rep to whoever answers. Trellus offers both.
What is the difference between a parallel dialer and a predictive dialer?
A parallel dialer places several calls for one rep. A predictive dialer dials ahead of available agents based on a forecast, then sends the answered call to the next available agent. Trellus does not offer predictive dialing.
What happens if two people answer at about the same time?
Ask to see this in your demo, whichever dialer you are evaluating. Test it with numbers you control, then check what each person hears and how each attempt is logged.
Do I need a new CRM or new phone numbers?
No new CRM is needed. You start from your existing list in a supported platform. Search by area code, state or city in Trellus settings and add the number you want, or bring a number you already have. Numbers you bring count toward your plan’s number limit.
Is parallel dialing legal?
It depends on who you call, where and with what consent. Trellus gives your team controls for calling hours, Do Not Call and number registration, but consent, recording rules and local law remain your organization’s responsibility. See calling laws by state.
